This Privacy Policy describes how Jamzilla ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information when you use the Jamzilla consumer mobile application, our websites at jamzilla.in, partner tools used to list jam rooms or host events, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
By creating an account, booking a jam room, purchasing an event ticket, listing a studio, or hosting an event on the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this policy. This policy is intended to align with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), where it applies.
Our Terms of Service are available at https://jamzilla.in/terms.
Collection and Use of Information
We collect information to operate a marketplace for jam room bookings and live music events in India. Depending on how you use the Platform, you may interact with us as a User (someone who discovers, books, or buys tickets), as a Jam Room Partner (a studio or jam room owner who lists spaces and receives bookings), or as an Event Host (an organizer who lists events and sells tickets). The categories below apply based on your role and activity.
Personal Data
- Account and profile: name, email address, phone number, sign-in method (email/password or Google sign-in), musician or enthusiast role, instrument, music genres, and a profile avatar generated via DiceBear (api.dicebear.com) from your account identifier.
- Jam room bookings: studios and spaces you view or book, session dates, time slots, booking and order identifiers, booking status, amounts paid, and optional reviews you submit after a completed session.
- Event ticket purchases: events you view or book, ticket tiers, quantity, booker name and email provided at checkout, order and payment references, and ticket identifiers used to display QR codes for venue entry.
- Additional details for Jam Room Partners and Event Hosts: business or venue name, studio or event listing content, address and location details, images you upload, pricing and availability settings, slot or tier configuration, event descriptions, artist lineup, age restrictions, contact email and phone shown on listings, and host-authored terms and conditions for events.
- Payout and settlement information for partners: where applicable, bank or payout details and weekly settlement reports needed to remit amounts for completed jam room bookings.
Payment Information
Payments on the Platform are processed by Razorpay. We receive payment status, transaction references, order identifiers, and invoice-related metadata. We do not store your full card number, UPI PIN, or bank login credentials. Billing name and contact details may be shared with Razorpay to complete a transaction.
Activity and Technical Data
- App interactions such as searches, listing views, checkout steps, and booking history.
- Support tickets and messages you submit through the app, including category (booking, payment, payout, account, or other) and related booking references.
- Session tokens, device type, app version, and notification preferences where you enable push notifications.
- Location: when you allow location access in the consumer app, coordinates are used on your device to sort nearby studios and may be cached locally. We do not upload your GPS coordinates to our servers.
Marketing and Communications
We may send service-related emails or notifications about bookings, payments, account security, and platform updates. Where you opt in or where permitted by law, we may send promotional messages about studios, events, or Platform features. You can disable push notifications in your device settings. Transactional messages related to confirmed bookings may still be sent where necessary to provide the service.
By proceeding to book a jam room or purchase event tickets, you acknowledge that booking-related data may be used to operate the service, including sharing fulfilment details with the relevant Jam Room Partner or Event Host.

Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain account and booking records for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. Support tickets, reviews, invoices, and settlement records may be retained after a booking is completed.
You may update profile details in the app. You may delete your account from Profile → Delete account in the consumer app, or request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us at info@jamzilla.in or visiting https://jamzilla.in/delete-account.
When you delete your account, we delete your authentication record and profile. Booking rows may be anonymized where retention is required for legal, tax, dispute, or operational purposes. Completed event tickets and payment records may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form as required by law.

We may need to retain certain records where required by law or for legitimate purposes such as completed transactions, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure sign-in, access controls, and encrypted connections where appropriate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Platform is not intended for users under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has provided personal data through the Platform, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app, by email, or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The current version will be posted at https://jamzilla.in/privacy.
